Hickling harriers (eyfs)
Our Early Years classroom offers a stimulating and nurturing environment for children of 3 - 5 years. Children learn and develop through a playbase approach, accompanied by adult-led sessions to cover phonics, numbers and writing opportunities. The children are invited to participate in the Key Stage One PE lessons and also access weekly Forest School sessions, led by our Forest School teacher. The children have frequent opportunities to engage collaboratively with our Key Stage One children and other friends across our Federation. Our Early Years teachers plan exciting and varied trips for the children, linking to their curriculum coverage.
Miss Blake and Mrs Pell teach phonics and maths to our reception children whilst Miss Turner and Claire deliver the other curriculum areas and support the children in their progress.
For preschoolers, we are able to access full government funding for 3-year-olds and can offer 30 hours.
We encourage you and your family to come and look around our school, to book an appointment, please contact the school office.
