"Do all animals eat the same food?"
During wet playtime, George and his friends decided to continue his maths learning from earlier in the day! They were identifying missing numbers on a number line.
This week in PE, the children applied and implemented their knowledge and skills of balancing when working in small groups. The children took it in turns to lead a balance, when the balances were put together, a sequenced performance was created.
The children created their own art gallery this week! On completion of their digital art, the children arranged their ipads to enable other children to look at their work and share what they had done. The children complimented each others work so respectfully.
The Year 2 children shows high levels of enthusiasm in our RE lesson yesterday. We learnt all about the Jewish festival of Sukkot and they began designing a sukkah. In their next lesson, the children will be using shoe boxes to make their sukkah.
The children are consolidating everything they have learnt about self-portraits and the work of Frida Kahlo by creating their own self-portrait inspired by her work.
The children were excited to use the dictionaries today. The used them to check the spelling of words and also to find out the meanings of new terminology.
Year 2 enjoyed their PE lesson today, applying their understanding and ability of balancing to lots of competitive games.
