About Us
We aim to provide a stimulating and fun environment where quality teaching and learning takes place every day – we put our children at the heart of everything we do. We have a beautiful outside space which includes a field and garden area where we grow our own vegetables. We also run Forest School sessions weekly for the children.
Our pupils are proud of their school and this is reflected in their high standards of work, behaviour and attainment. We are a small hardworking and dedicated team at Hickling School, committed to ensuring our school continues to strive for excellence. We are very proud to be a vital part of our local community with our community links being one of the things we pride ourselves in.
Our classroom 'make up' is shared between a provision style learning space and a formal learning space, thus supportive of our children transitioning from Early Years into Key Stage 1. We offer an ambitious and self-fulfilling curriculum to our children but recognise the weighted balance of experiences and opportunities, accessed by school trips, guest speakers and Federation Days.

'Hickling infant has so many strengths, I am so pleased my child is able to experience the benefits of a small rural school. They provide great enrichment such as in-house experiences (lambs, tadpoles, sports sessions) and days out linked to their learning.'
